BALOO and Outdoor Leader Skills
When: Saturday, April 8, 2017 at 8 a.m. thru Sunday, April 9th at 11:30.
Where: Camp De Soto
Cost: $35 per person - This covers food and material costs of the training.
Requirements: BSA Registered Adult, Youth Protection
Supplemental training recommended: First aid and CPR, Safe Swim Defense, and Safety Afloat.
By completing this training course, the participant will be able to:
- Explain the focus of the Cub Scout level of the BSA camping program.
- Demonstrate the skills and confidence necessary to plan and carry out a successful, first-time Cub Scout-level camping activity.
- Describe the resources available from the BSA and other sources to carry out this activity.
- Discuss the requirements for successful completion of this activity.
Equipment needed: Tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad or mattress or cot, pillow, personal hygiene, clothing for indoor and outdoor classes, drinking cup/bottle, mess kit, day pack, rain gear, hiking shoes/boots
